Samantha Hogan – Class of 2015

Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design

After graduation from TCC, I got an Internship with a marketing company called Ivie & Associates. This company works for many large chains, off and on-site, to bring cohesive branding and nice designs. Through my internship I learned a lot about the industry. Recently, I was given the opportunity to become a full-time member of the company and now work making anything from ads, magazines, and billboards. I am excited to learn about the industry and look forward to expanding my horizons. On my downtime I have been working to expand my illustration, photography, and painting skills.

I am involved in the concept development, user experience, front-end prototype and branding strategy during the design process. These were the disciplines in which I was most passionate during my learning experience at TCC and as an Industrial Design student at Virginia Tech.

Bryan Myhr – Class of 2011

Associate of Applied Arts in Studio Arts – Photography

I run a wedding and portrait photography company and am an adjunct instructor at TCC’s Visual Arts Center, which has been an amazing experience. I love being in a learning environment. My students and I have embarked on learning and real world adventures with our research and photo projects. I especially love teaching History of Photography. I find myself thoroughly inspired by digging into the lives and works of many masters who came before me and those who are producing work today. I am actively pursuing my bachelor degree in Print and Photo media with a specialization in Education. I plan to continue my education to include a masters degree in Photography.
